Newell Services — Welcome Aboard

Thanks for choosing Newell Services. We’re excited to have you on board. Before your first visit, please take a few minutes to review the key steps below—this ensures smooth service and clear communication every season.

Safety & Reentry

All products are applied according to their label directions and Oklahoma state regulations. Because every treatment and weather condition is different, the safest rule is to keep people and pets off the lawn until all applications are completely dry. This simple practice protects your family and allows materials to perform as intended. If conditions are warm or humid, drying may take longer than usual. We appreciate your cooperation in following these precautions after each visit.

Mowing

Proper mowing is one of the most important steps in maintaining a healthy lawn. Most Tulsa area lawns are Bermudagrass or Zoysia, which perform best when maintained between 1 and 2 inches for Bermuda and 2 to 2.5 inches for Zoysia. Cool-season grasses such as Fescue or Rye should be mowed higher, around 3 to 3.5 inches, to shade the soil and reduce stress. Mowing heights should change with seasonal needs, so always refer to Oklahoma State University Extension guidance for your turfgrass type and local conditions. Ideally, mowing should not occur within 48 hours of a treatment, before or after, as this can reduce the effectiveness of the application. Whenever possible, mow ahead of our visit and wait at least two days after treatment before mowing again. Sharp blades, consistent frequency, and proper timing all work together to keep turf dense, resilient, and ready to perform.

Watering

Consistent watering supports strong root growth and drought resistance. Warm-season grasses like Bermudagrass and Deep, consistent watering is the key to a healthy, resilient lawn. Warm-season grasses like Bermudagrass and Zoysia typically need about one inch of water per week, including rainfall, while cool-season grasses such as Fescue or Rye may need a little more during hot, dry weather. Watering early in the morning reduces disease and evaporation, and deep, infrequent watering encourages stronger root systems that can better handle Oklahoma’s summer heat. Many homeowners focus on the cost of watering but overlook that rebuilding a drought-damaged lawn costs far more. Adjust irrigation schedules with the seasons and refer to Oklahoma State University Extension guidance for timing and local recommendations.

Billing & Account Setup

We keep services moving smoothly with Auto-Pay on file. If you prepaid for the year, you’re all set. Otherwise, please confirm or update your payment method on file by clicking the client login button at the top of this page and selecting WALLET. You can also request changes to your payment plan (Prepay, Auto-Pay, or Monthly Pay) using the form below. Past-due accounts may pause service and are subject to a late fee until paid.

Add Service Contacts

If someone else should receive service notifications about your lawn, please tell us. You can add a spouse, tenant, roommate, or property manager for service updates only. These contacts will not receive billing emails or account statements. Provide their name, relationship, and preferred contact method using the form below.

Service Windows & Access

We route by neighborhood to keep pricing fair and service efficient. You’ll receive a reminder before each visit, but the exact day and time may shift with weather or routing changes. Please unlock gates and remove toys, hoses, and debris before your service date. Keep people and pets off treated areas until they are completely dry. If you need to change your service date, submit your request by 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled day to avoid a $10 return fee. Rescheduled visits are completed at our convenience based on route availability and weather conditions.

Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your service plan at any time by submitting a cancellation request at least seven days before your next scheduled visit. Outstanding balances for completed services remain due at the time of cancellation. Refunds are only considered when a service cannot be completed for reasons outside your control or if a prepaid plan is cancelled before any work begins. Dissatisfaction with results is not a valid basis for refund since turf response depends on many factors beyond our control. Approved refunds are mailed by check within thirty days.

Terms, Communication, and Privacy

For details on communication preferences, privacy practices, photo use, and all other account policies, please review our current Terms and Conditions. This document defines all inclusions, limitations, and client responsibilities for your service plan.
