Common Bermudagrass Overseed
Overseeding is the addition of seed to an established lawn. This seed can be of the same type or of a differing type.
Bermudagrass Overseeding
Using only professional grade seed as our common bermudagrass overseed will contain at least 2 pure cultivars of Bermuda suitable for northeastern Oklahoma lawns. It comprises advanced cultivars that have been specifically developed to thrive in the conditions present in our region.
Common bermudagrass is a medium- to dark-green, fine-textured grass with a prolific regenerative nature, reproducing through rhizome and stolon production. It thrives during the peak growing season from July to mid-September. This grass is well-suited for NE Oklahoma's varied weather due to its heat-loving nature and tolerance of full sun, making it an excellent option for natural turf. However, its aggressive growing habit can be challenging to manage, and once established, it can be difficult to eliminate. Additionally, common bermudagrass struggles when exposed to less than 6 hours of direct sunlight.
It is important to note that this plant is sterile and does not reproduce via seed head. It will spread via runners howeever. It features a clumping growing habit, meaning it does not spread after reaching maturity.
